News from the College & Career Center:


October 1st – FAFSA opens for Class of 2020 students applying to college



The following colleges will have admissions representatives visiting Mission students during the months of September/Oct:


UCSB                                                             Mon, Sept 30th promptly at lunch in FLEX Rm

Purdue                                                            Tuesday, Oct 1st immediately after school

All visits will be at the College & Career Center unless otherwise noted.  Visits are limited to students only.


Students and their families are invited to attend the Silicon Valley STEM College & Career Fair on Sunday, Oct. 6th at Santa Clara Convention Center from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Students may register at:



East Bay Consortium/Cal-SOAP is hosting their 42nd Annual College Information Day on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 8:30am to 1:00pm at Dwinelle Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. Over 50 public and private colleges will be represented. Admissions, financial aid/scholarship workshops will be offered.

Teen Volunteer - Clerical Support the Alameda County Library Foundation (ACLF) has a need for on-going clerical support. Tasks may include filing, preparing mailings for various Fundraising Campaigns and/or light data entry occasionally. Ideally teens would commit to working 2-4 hours per week between Monday and Thursday. Work hours would be approximately 3:30pm – 5:00pm.  Visit them online for more info:
